The Crossings at Carlsbad Celebrates its Fifth Year Anniversary in July 2012
The city-owned golf course announces special events throughout the month to celebrate milestone
CARLSBAD, Calif., June 21, 2012 – The Crossings at Carlsbad, a premier municipal course in the San Diego area owned by the City of Carlsbad and managed by KemperSports, is proud to announce its fifth anniversary of operations this July. Voted by GOLF Magazine as one of the “Top 10 New Courses You Can Play” when it opened in 2007, The Crossings at Carlsbad will celebrate its anniversary with a number of special activities for its guests throughout the month of July, including daily greens fee promotions. The month-long festivities will culminate with a celebratory event at the course on July 29 that will include on-course contests for golfers, various prizes and giveaways and special $5 pricing on select items such as range balls, appetizers, lunch and drinks.
“We look forward to welcoming the entire Carlsbad community to celebrate the fifth anniversary of The Crossings,” said Chris Hazeltine, director of the City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department. “Whether playing a round of golf, enjoying the ocean view over a cool drink at the clubhouse or exploring the public hiking trails, there are so many ways to enjoy this beautiful course.”
Earlier this year, The Crossings at Carlsbad made improvements to the facility to prepare for the fifth anniversary and better serve its guests. In May, the staff opened a new Players’ Lounge in the clubhouse and converted 800 square-feet of the golf shop into a full service bar for its guests. The Players’ Lounge is now open to the public daily from 11 a.m.–8 p.m., and serves a light food and drink menu. In addition, recent renovations were made to the 18th green, which re-opened on June 6.
“We are excited to reach our five year anniversary with the City of Carlsbad,” said Gary Glaser, general manager of The Crossings at Carlsbad. “It’s been a tremendous partnership between the City of Carlsbad and KemperSports, and we look forward to continuing to provide a great golf experience and the highest level of customer service for our guests and the local residents.”
The Crossings at Carlsbad welcomes players and guests from the City of Carlsbad and the San Diego area to visit the property throughout the month of July and celebrate its fifth anniversary.
